Losing humans

Lastly, here is Losing Humans, a barely working, borderline unfun and badly optimized project I made.

I might hear you asking, why would you put this here if it’s so bad?

Well, I decided to include this because this was the first ever game jam I did. It was actually the first ever released project I had ever made. It was the start of my journey.

I want to keep this game as a remainder of how, with a bit of persistence and dedication, you can improve exponentially in this line of work.

Today you make Losing Humans, the next year you make your first Steam release, The year after you make a semi-successful indie game and then, maybe one, two or ten years later, you might own your own developing studio. Who knows?

But I feel is important to never forget where you came from and how you got where you are now, even if this means cringing at your own bad work once in a while.

Another experimental game, I-8085 is a managment game where you need to prevent natural disasters to occur in a newly terraformed planet.

More than a game, this is really a concept that might get picked up later.

This was a challenge on making a somewhat functioning prototype in three hours: one hour to design, one hour to create and one hour to polish.

While there is barely a minute of actual gameplay, I love the fact that all the elements are there: the style, the idea, a bit of narrative, the visual, etc.

SCLERO

SCLERO

“Sclero” is an experimental project that was done in about 6 hours while I was still a student.

With this game, I experimented in managing a randomly changing system, dealing with reflections and merging characters with gameplay behaviours.

Note that this game is definitely not for the squeamish. Me myself have very sensitive eyes, so even for me it’s kinda hard to play this game, lol.

This was the first project I “released” with BetterHalf Team.

The idea was born because one of my classmates, before becoming a programmer, used to work in the eye surgery sector.

Neat!

CHOOSE

“Choose” is a narrative, choice-based puzzle game set in an ever looping alien world ruled by an eldritch overlord. Our protagonist, lured by the promise of riches and fame, must now escape its machinations, lest he remains stuck there forever.

Our new submission for the GMTK game jam of 2025, which was bigger than 2024 by a large margin (about 9500+ entries!), we really did aim for the star with this one!

While reaching some exceptional result on certain fields, like music and art (#16 and #106 respectively), the game in general severely under performed our expectation ranking “only” an overall score of #170.

Was it that we overshot the scope of the project? Was it the technical and personal problems? Or was it just bad luck? I can’t tell. Maybe sometimes the donut just doesn’t come out with the hole.

A Quiet Weekend

First time making a horror game for the Scream Jam of 2025, “A Quiet Weekend” is a narrative adventure game focusing on exploration and atmosphere.

Most of all, this game was the first game after a while that I directly lead from start to finish.

Sadly, due to work commitments and half the team being sick, the game severely under performed in the jam ratings. Still, I am proud of the work each and every team member made during the duration of the jam!

What's on this page?

here you’ll find most of my side projects.

With this term, “side projects”, I mean all of those projects that I’ve worked on very briefly (less than a month) or projects that I had a very minimal part on.

These can be failed Game Jams, experimental games or even unfinished projects that i didn’t want to scrap entirely.

Of course, these games will have just a section in this page dedicated to them instead of an entire separate page.
